David T. Lampton
In June of 2013, David Lampton began his association of counsel with Smith, Gildea & Schmidt, where he handles complex civil litigation matters with the litigation group.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, Mr. Lampton attended Washington & Lee University law school, where he served as a staff-writer for the W&L Law Review. After law school, Mr. Lampton clerked at the Baltimore County Circuit Court for Judge John Grason Turnbull, II, Judge Judith C. Ensor, and Judge J. Norris Byrnes before beginning private practice with Niles Barton & Wilmer in Baltimore in 2006. Mr. Lampton is a native of Suffolk, Virginia, but has lived in the Baltimore area since 2004 after graduating law school.
Mr. Lampton has focused his practice on civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance law, and creditors’ rights, and is barred in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, as well as in the federal district and bankruptcy courts for all three jurisdictions, and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Lampton lives in Towson in the Rodgers Forge neighborhood, where he serves as a Board of Governor for the community association.
